Friendly tip! flip the bottom of ur couch every so often so that the opposite side is showing. When u have a mattress directly on the ground u want to flip it every so often to avoid mold and dust mites, etc.
to add to their tip, i’d also look into getting an anti-slip mat to put underneath like they have for rugs. it could help with movement and add a layer between the mattress part and the floor. it looks absolutely lovely tho!
An alternative to flipping it more often, they make a specific frame that raises it about an inch to allow for air circulation. People with sleeping lofts in tiny houses use them.
Why was this the easiest zipper tutorial I have seen in a decade plus of sewing and barely looking at zipper tutorials...somehow I now feel confident...thank you I hit subscribe after that lol
This is truly something I would and probably will do. Your dogs is so precious and when I saw her I was so excited because my pups the same breed. So cute.
Thankyou thankyou thankyou! You have no idea how much I’ve been looking for this video. First of all, I’ve been obsessed with the Omhu teddy couch but it’s just nod in my budget. Second of all, I can relate so much to green being my new favorite color at the moment. For weeks now I’ve been thinking of how I can make a similar omhu teddy couch from scratch. I’ve been going back and forth between I can totally do it and I’m naive, I’ll spend money on matrices and fabric and I won’t be able to sew it correctly. You’ve definitely kept my motivation going now! The fabric you chose is beautiful! An Idea I had for making the exact Polster pillow shape I want was by using bean back filler and put it in garbage bags (or something similar), forming it a certain way and then sewing a fitting cover for it. That seems to be the same filler that omhu uses for it’s pillows. Meanwhile I’ve found a cheap couch on eBay that has the exact form of the omhu teddy couch and I’ll be sewing a new green cord cover for it! I’m so excited! I hope it works! This is the first time I’ve seen your account but I instantly subscribed! You have a wonderful funny character, keep going! :) I’ll also definitely try one of your dance tutorials btw. I never comment und seldomly subscribe but your account is just awesome! Thankyou! 🫶
oww what a sweet comment ! Thanks you so much ! I thought too about filling the back with a type of pillow fillers and other fluff but I couldn't wrap my head around how to saw a cover around this type of material 😅(also I need to be washable in the washing machine so that added a little bit of challenge ^^) Thank youuu for subscribing, hope to chat again in futur videos ! :)
I wish I had seen this video last year when I was in the middle of my delusion era thinking I could also make a couch haha I did end up getting a cute little green one too tho! But the legs broke (It was super cheap) so now it's on the floor and it's kinda awesome. My dog likes just stepping onto it more than jumping too. I might make a mattress couch next tho. Your video is fun and your furry supervisors are adorable
💚 This was amazing! I was looking for inspiration for making my room magical and cozy. You taught yourself how to put in a zipper and make button holes! This has helped me renew my excitement in making plans and designs for my room. I love green also. Other colors play well with green just like out in the natural world. 😊
I can't DIY for shit, but this is exactly the kind of floor sofa I've been wanting! I know this probably isn't what you were going for, but you should check out some videos from the channels Nutritious Movement and another one called Movementum. Basically, there are a ton of benefits to having your furniture low on the ground, especially as you age. It's easy to get up and down from the floor now, when we're young, but if you keep doing it as you get older, you'll protect many of your muscle groups from getting too weak, and you'll vastly reduce your risk of falling and hurting yourself (I'm talking like, in your 70s and 80s). Anyway, this was super cool! And now I'm wrestling with how the heck am I gonna replicate this. 😂 Oh - do you mind sharing the dimensions of the mattress you used?
Hi ! Thank you for your comment ! I heard about it too, especially in Japan where there seem to be waaayy less deaths by older people falling or being inactive than in any other country. I find it so interesting ! The mattress is 140cm by 190cm (55 inches by 75 inches) Good luck with the project 😊

You can also get a tatami mat.

Thank you ! Yeah similar couches are soooo expensive.. snaps buttons are a great alternative ☺️
YAY!! I have that delusion, too!! I've done SO MANY CRAZY things because of it, and I'm rarely disappointed 😊

The ADHD energy is so realy
ahah ! I don't know what you're talking about 🙄
You know you literally can bay dog stairs to your couch. Yes they are for sick and elderly dogs. They come in so many shapes and sizes.
but it's not fun , and low couches are the best 😊
I know ! My dog hates them she was coming on the couch by any means BUT the stairs 😂
You're 100% right ! 😊
why didnt she just put lil stairs to get to the couch tho..
Another comment she replied to stated that her dog hated the stairs so it makes sense
